The Smallest NBA Player Ever.

Okay I'll try this again... Earl Boykins at 5'5" and 133 pounds is the lightest NBA player ever, imagine playing against people twice your size and weight! The Skills are off the hook! Yes size isn't everything if you work hard you too could be a professional basketball player. Just lace up your sneakers and train train train. Okay it may not be that easy, but is should be an inspiration to young athletes who want to succeed even though they are playing a tall mans game. I used to play pickup against a midget and no one wanted to guard him, his crossover was like an flies' wings twitching, you were afraid to hack him and when he scored a layup on you, you just wanted to die.

Isaiah Thomas, Mugsy Bogues, Spud Webb and Earl Boykins proved that heart is more important then size. Way to hoop it up little man! Maybe these guys have a chance!

Lightest NBA Player Ever.

While Earl Boykins at 5'5" isn't the shortest NBA player ever he is the lightest ever weighing only 133 pounds. (60 Kilos) Yes if you have the skills you can play in the League if you are very short or very thin, of course Earl had to have outrageous skills to make it into the league. Size isn't the problem, skills are! That's a great lesson for all the kids out there as the list of small players is long and great. Spud Webb, Mugsy Bogues, Isaiah Thomas among others were some of the greatest and most exciting players to watch when they played.

Look at this guy can you imagine trying to put a ball through a hoop playing against people twice your size? I used to play pickup hoops against a midget and I tell you it was a drag to guard him his crossover was like the twitching of a flies wings, you didn't want to hurt him and when he scored a layup on you, you just wanted to die.

Short people can get the job done. What's your excuse?

Magic Johnson and the Showtime Lakers..

Well the Lakers just got hammered out of the playoffs in a most decisive way. With that in mind I though I'd share one of my all time favorites. I grew up loving Magic Johnson and his no look pass. He was a 6'9 guard!

The Showtime Lakers were butter! I even met Magic once but he wouldn't give me an autograph as he was playing pool. Yeah I was kind of pissed but he is still one of my favorites of all time!

Happy Mother's day from Grandmama!

Happy Mother's day everybody! Email or twitter your moms! Larry Johnson had the richest contract in the NBA when he played and used to dress up as a woman dubbed "Gandmama" to earn money on the side. Something like that anyways.

The Worm.

Before he was a Hall of Famer or a total freak Dennis Rodman was an amazingly talented and tough player who could dominate the glass like no other. Eventually he flipped out and people decided to call him "The Worm" You probably remember him for being a cross dresser don't you?

Hoops Mutant

Gheorge Muresan was 7'7" and looked like a troll. He gave more then a few kids nightmares. He battled injuries throughout his career and ended up acting (badly) in a movie with Billy Crystal.
I can't believe these guys played together! Did someone in the front office think this would be funny? Talk about a sick sense of humor. Muggsy Bogues(5'3")& Manute Bol(7'7") Tallest and shortest players in the League. Manute passed away in 2010.
