Lightest NBA Player Ever.

While Earl Boykins at 5'5" isn't the shortest NBA player ever he is the lightest ever weighing only 133 pounds. (60 Kilos) Yes if you have the skills you can play in the League if you are very short or very thin, of course Earl had to have outrageous skills to make it into the league. Size isn't the problem, skills are! That's a great lesson for all the kids out there as the list of small players is long and great. Spud Webb, Mugsy Bogues, Isaiah Thomas among others were some of the greatest and most exciting players to watch when they played.

Look at this guy can you imagine trying to put a ball through a hoop playing against people twice your size? I used to play pickup hoops against a midget and I tell you it was a drag to guard him his crossover was like the twitching of a flies wings, you didn't want to hurt him and when he scored a layup on you, you just wanted to die.

Short people can get the job done. What's your excuse?

  6. 6,4" here. The biggest advantage of short ppl is their massive speedup. When they want to trick me - they can. Anyway I can rebound easily :P

  8. Wow, that difference is pretty insane. But I imagine those players must be quite inspiring for the shorter kids who just want to enjoy the sport the same as everyone else. Good post.

  10. That's the proof that you don't have to be a tall guy to be a good basketball-player. With a lot of effort and training you can beat up everyone!
